Overview
Today, meet your photographer Mr. Kak Sokphirom, a local professional street photographer who will guide you for this snapshot tour.Start from this meeting point at Royal Train Square, a former Phnom Pen Railway Station, built in 1931 and later abandoned during the Civil War. The station was renovated and formally reopened in October 2010 and is only used for sporadic goods transport, mostly oil. Continue walking to Wat Phnom, a Buddhist temple and the most important temple in Phnom Penh. Situated on the top of 27-meter high knoll, the temple overlooks the city and offers a pleasant green respite for tourists and locals alike. End the tour at Phsar Thmey, Phnom Penh’s central market and an Art Deco landmark. Follow Mr. Kak through the labyrinth of stalls as you learn more about the everyday life of modern Cambodians. The array of colors and the hustle and bustle of local life provide the perfect photography backdrop.Note: If Mr. Kak Sokphirom is not available, a compatible professional photographer will be the leader of the tour.
