Overview
You will be picked up from the hotel and an English-speaking guide will escort you. The first destination would be Jaigarh Fort in the Aravalli Hills. It is perhaps the most magnificent of the three hilltop forts overlooking the city of Jaipur and piques one’s curiosity in many ways. Next, you’ll head to the Amer Fort, also called Amber Fort. Some of the most spectacular structures of the fort are ‘Diwan-i-Aam’ (hall of public audience), ‘Sheesh Mahal’ (glass palace), ‘Sukh Mahal’ (pleasure palace), Jaleb Chowk (one of the four courtyards) and Sila Devi temple.Your next destination is the Nahargarh Fort. This formidable hill-top fort, also called Tiger Fort, stands in what was once a densely wooded forest. The fierce Meena tribe ruled the region before being subdued by the Kachhawahas. It is a small fort with immense walls. Much of the original fort is in ruins but the walls and the 19th-centuryV additions survive, including the rooms furnished for Maharajas.
