Overview
Temple hop and reach the highest peak in Penang to admire the panoramic view of George Town and the mainland. Start at the largest Buddhist temple in South-East Asia, Kek Lok Si Temple, also known as the ‘Temple of Supreme Bliss.’ Here you will enjoy a breath-taking sight of the gigantic bronze statue of the Goddess of Mercy that overlooks the entire temple precinct and its vicinity, then take a stroll up the seven storey Pagoda which houses over 10,000 Buddha statues. Next, ride the funicular train to the top of Penang Hill where the oldest British hill station in the region was established.
