Your guide will meet you at the hotel’s lobby around 08.00am, before you set out to explore the fabulous city of Amritsar. As you walk through serpentine lanes, exploring the local bustling bazaar, your guide will share many historical anecdotes and other interesting stories about Amritsar. Once, you have worked up some appetite with your walk, you will have a heavy breakfast at a local restaurant. Indulge your taste buds with delicious Punjabi cuisine.Stop for a gastronomic break at a local restaurant and devour the flavors of Amritsari Kulcha (hot potato bread) and chilled Punjabi Lassi (sweetened yogurt). After breakfast, your guide will escort you to Harmandir Sahib, better known as the Golden Temple, on foot. This spectacular Sikh shrine has extensive gold work and welcomes people of all faiths. A major attraction of the Golden Temple is its Langar (dining hall). People from all faiths are welcomed here for free meals. From here, proceed to the Jallianwala Bagh, a memorial park symbolizing one of the most tragic moments in India’s freedom movement. After visiting the Jallianwala Bagh, board a cycle rickshaw and pass through the bustling local markets, before returning to your hotel.
