Overview
Experiencing the culinary scene in this 500-year old city, richly steeped in the traditions of the mighty Mughal era, is simply unforgettable. The memories will continue to haunt you, long after your trip is over. We will start at the lesser-known, but remarkably beautiful Jama Masjid in the old city. Besides feasting upon gorgeous food, we will also indulge in other delightful experiences – visiting offbeat sightseeing attractions and appreciating perfume, or rather the famous attar of Agra, dating back to the Mughal era. This walk will take you to one of the oldest petha (the famous local pumpkin sweet) shops in Agra. You will also visit the much popular Seth Gali (Traders’ Market) treat your taste buds to the delicacies at the famous sweet shops here. These are well known across the country and the preparations are found at many other cities, but nothing can beat the charm of trying out the real thing, right where it originated and won over generations of foodies.
