Redefining what an orchestra can be, the LA Phil is as vibrant as Los Angeles, one of the most open and dynamic cities in the world.

Led by musical and artistic director Gustavo Dudamel, this internationally recognized orchestra focuses the transformative power of live music in building community, promoting intellectual and artistic growth, and growing the spirit of art. In this concert, Prokofiev's 'Selections from Romeo and Juliet' will be performed alongside the prominent American cellist Alisa Weilersten.

Teatro Mayor has a seating capacity of 1,303 and was built in order to offer all kinds of opera and musical shows, concerts, classical ballet, contemporary dance and plays.

The theater has three levels: stall, first balcony and second balcony. All three seating areas were especially designed so that audiences could enjoy performances with an excellent view and sound reception.

Teatro Mayor was conceived not only as a comfortable space for audiences, but also as a comfortable space for artists. The theater has five dressing rooms and a special room that works as a rehearsal space.

It has an Orchestra Pit (7.70 x 20.40 meters) with a capacity of 45 musicians and two mobile platforms that allow it to go up and down when needed. The Fly system or theatrical rigging system, has 49 bars used to raise and lower lights, stage sets and curtains and 2 lighting bridges.

Teatro Mayor has ten properly marked emergency exits, located as described below:
