One of the most famous and outstanding children's choirs in the world.
The predecessor of the Vienna Boys' Choir was the Austrian Royal Choir, which was founded in 1498 and has a glorious history of 525 years. It has cultivated countless music masters such as Mozart, Haydn, Schubert, and Bruckner. Composer Gerlos, conductors Richter, Motul, and Gaulos all became members of the "Vienna Boys' Choir" in their childhood. Many famous musicians in modern times have worked with it, including Karajan, Bernstein, Solti, Abbado, Zubin Mehta, Muti, Seiji Ozawa, and Carreras. Their cooperation with the Vienna Boys' Choir has created the most beautiful music works in the world and has won wide acclaim. World-renowned orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin State Opera, and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra have also frequently invited the Vienna Boys' Choir to perform with them, presenting exquisite music masterpieces to the world. UNESCO officially announced on March 16, 2017, local time in Austria, that the Vienna Boys' Choir was listed as a world intangible cultural heritage (education and choral tradition).
The Vienna Boys' Choir has more than 100 formal members, aged 9-14. They are divided into four choirs, each with 25 children, named after four musicians: Mozart, Haydn, Schubert and Bruckner. These four choirs give more than 300 concerts to nearly 500,000 live audiences around the world every year. They have performed in Europe, Asia, Oceania and America. The Vienna Boys' Choir has been praised and loved by the world for its outstanding choral level and extraordinary artistic expression, and is known as the "Singing Angel".
The teaching method of the Vienna Boys' Choir is the "Wirth Method", which absorbs the essence of German and Austrian classics for thousands of years and the teaching of the Vienna Boys' Choir for more than 500 years, and integrates modern teaching concepts. The slogan of the Wirth Method is "Everyone can sing and learn music in happiness". The Vienna Boys' Choir has its own unique education system and scientific training, which has forged the profound musical skills and extraordinary temperament of the members of the Vienna Boys' Choir from comprehensive and exquisite training in culture, vocal music, chorus, piano, etiquette, art, language, etc. The teenagers nurtured in this environment all have artistic temperament and lovely childish hearts. After rigorous training and excellent cultural and artistic influence, the children will stand out and show their talents.
Today, the members of the Vienna Boys' Choir, wearing blue navy uniforms, with innocent and lovely faces, sing like angels. After three years, they are touring China again.
