The Wind Quintet is composed of internationally renowned Italian musicians who are currently part of the orchestra of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome and of the Royal Concertgebouw Orkest in Amsterdam.
The five musicians have collaborated and still collaborate with the orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, the Bayerischer Staatsorchester, the Orchester National de France, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra with which they performed on the main stages such as Musikverein of Vienna, Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, Suntory Hall of Tokyo, Salle Pleyel of Paris, Royal Albert Hall of London, Carnegie Hall of New York.
The wind quintet, equivalent in importance to the string quartet, represents the most complete sound formation and rich in repertoire for wind instruments; the idea of the group is to recreate with this small but heterogeneous formation all the richness of the orchestral timbres and the experiences gathered during the tours in the most important halls of the world, leaving space also to the strong individual personalities that characterize the Italian spirit in the world and who are have been awarded in important competitions such as ARD, Kobe, Jugendmusik Wettbewerb of Zurich and Jeunesses musicales of Bucharest.
The added value of the ensemble is the special musical understanding given by the daily attendance, mutual esteem and friendship that binds the components together.
