Bass PETER KELLNER hails from Slovakia and studied in Košice and at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts Mozarteum Salzburg.
During his studies, he played Leporello in Don Giovanni, Bartolo in Le nozze di Figaro and Death in Ullmann’s Der Kaiser von Atlantis, among others. In 2013, he sang Osmin in Die Entführung aus dem Serail for children as part of Young Singers Project in Salzburg. Peter Kellner has made appearances at Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava, Oldenburgisches Staatstheater, Stadttheater Klagenfurt and others. In 2015/2016 he joined the ensemble of Graz Opera and sang Osmin, Basilio (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Grenvil (La traviata), Frère Laurent (Roméo et Juliette), Colline (La Bohème), Lord Sidney (Il viaggio a Reims) and the title role in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro. He also appeared at Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, Wiener Volksoper, Festival della Valle d’Itria, Teatro Verdi di Trieste and Salzburg Festival. Current and upcoming engagements include Graz and Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London. In September 2018 he joined the ensemble of Vienna State Opera, where in the 2018/2019 season he is scheduled to appear as Panthée (Les Troyens), Count Lamoral (Arabella), Masetto (Don Giovanni), Saint Just (Dantons Tod) and King (Aida).
