After studying at the Mednogorsk conservatory in Russia, Mikhail Timoshenko earned his degree at the Musikhochschule in Weimar, Germany. He has taken part in several productions including The Magic Flute, Bastien et Bastienne and Eugene Onegin. In concert, he has sung Bach’s Mass in B Minor. He has been a prizewinner at numerous singing competitions, including the Kammeroper Rheinsberg, the Ekaterinburg Funken, the Delphic Games in Moscow, and the Uralmärchen in Chelyabinsk. His repertoire includes the roles of Masetto (Don Giovanni), Colline (La Bohème), Assur (Semiramide), Raphaël (The Creation), and Lanciotto (Francesca da Rimini). 

He joined the Paris Opera Academy in September 2015 and during the 2015 / 2016 season he participated in several of the Academy’s concerts and recitals at the Bastille Amphitheatre. He sang in the French premiere of Joanna Lee’s Vol Retour and performed the role of Plutone in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo. In 2016, he sang the role of Orlik in Tchaikovsky’s Mazeppa at the Oviedo Opera. He participated in the productions of Owen Wingrave and Les Fêtes d’Hébé at the Bastille Amphitheatre and appeared in Wozzeck (Erster Handwerksbursch), Rigoletto (Count Ceprano) and Don Carlos (a Flemish Deputy) on the main stage of the Opéra Bastille.
In March 2016, he won first prize at the Médoc International Singing Competition in Bordeaux. In May of the same year he was awarded the Opera Prize by the Cercle Carpeaux, and in 2017, he took the first prize at the Maria Callas International Competition.
