Michael Rotschopf is an Austrian actor and radio play speaker.
Michael Rotschopf was born in Lienz/Austria in 1969. He graduated from the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. During his training he played at the Burgtheater Wien, where he was a permanent ensemble member for five years. He worked with directors Hans Hollmann, Adolf Dresen and Achim Benning. In 1996, he was appointed O. E. Hasse prize awarded by the Berlin Academy of Arts by Peter Zadek, Martin Benrath and Michael Heltau.Michael Rotschopf also played at the Volkstheater and Akademietheater in Vienna, at the Schauspiel Frankfurt and at the Berliner Ensemble. In 2002 Peter Stein engaged him for his"Faust "project, under the direction of which he also participated in the" Wallenstein " in 2007 and 2008. Since 2008 he has appeared in" der zerbrochne Krug " with Klaus Maria Brandauer at the Berliner Ensemble as a writer of light.
