About

Mark first started to learn to play the trumpet in 2007, at the M. Bodon Pál Music School in Kecskemét. In 2009 he entered his first competition, only narrowly missing the finals. This motivated him to switch from tumpet to trombone. After 8 months of practice, he entered the 10th National Brass Competition in Kiskunfélegyháza, Hungary, which he won. This life changing event led him to concentrate on playing the trombone. His teacher is Lajos Kuna.

Mark was a finalist at competitions organised by the ITA (International Trombone Association): Gilberto Gagliardi Tenor Trombone Competition, 2017, and the ITA Alto Trombone Competition (Ages 25 and under), 2018.

He is a member of the Kecskemet City Brass Orchestra, the NIF National Youth Brass Orchestra and the Kecskemet Brass Band.
