Jeroen Bron is portfolio holder and project manager for citizenship education and social issues at the secondary education department. He focuses on cross-subject and cross-sectoral topics with a formative character. The responsibility for the development and implementation of education on social issues lies primarily at the meso and micro level: at the school and the teacher. Recent examples of this are sustainability, human rights education and the history of slavery.
Jeroen is a member of the 'Alliance School panels Citizenship' and maintains an international network in the field of democratic citizenship education. In 2018 he obtained his PhD at the University of Humanistics on a study into student participation in curriculum development.
