The soprano Jana Marie Gropp studied classical singing with Prof. Michaela Krämer at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf and graduated there with great success in the spring of 2018 her Bachelor of Music.
Her musical education began early with violin, piano and ballet lessons. She has received numerous national awards for her music. In 2015, she and her sister received the Song of the Vocals Academy Vaals.
Since April 2015, Jana Marie is a scholarship holder of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes and since August 2017 also a scholarship holder of the Richard-Wagner-Verband Düsseldorf.
Jana Marie's artistic ability is reflected in a wide range of her repertoire. So she celebrated in classical singing great success as a soloist with, among others, the new Chamber Orchestra Dusseldorf, the Romanian State Philharmonic and the WDR Radio House Orchestra Cologne, as well as in the Tonhalle Dusseldorf and the Philharmonic Cologne. Most recently, she appeared as Morgana in Handel's opera "Alcina" in the Theater Solingen. Also in the musical field she inspired in numerous roles. She played alongside major musical stars such as Patrick Stanke, Gino Emnes and Drew Sarich. So she was seen as Maria Magdalene in the musical "Jesus Christ Superstar" at the Zwingenberger Schlossfestspiele under the direction of Rainer Roos. There she took over in 2016 the role of Lisa Carew in the musical "Jekyll and Hyde" and in 2017/18 the role of "Janet" from the "Rocky Horror Show". In the Central Saxon theater in Freiberg and Döbeln, she also recently appeared as Lisa Carew on stage.
Together with her sister Pauline Gropp (pianist), she performs regularly as a duo with her own program.
In November 2018, Jana Marie successfully completed her studies in human medicine at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf.
