Franz Bartolomey Tickets
Franz Bartolomey was born on December 23, 1946 in Vienna. Already his father and grandfather were members of the Vienna Philharmonic. He was trained at the Vienna Academy of Music under Richard Krotschak and privately with Emanuel Brabec in the field of violoncello. After winning important competitions during his studies, he was admitted to the orchestra of the Vienna State Opera in 1967.
In 1973 he was admitted to the Wiener Philharmoniker, where he was appointed solo cellist in the same year. In addition to his work in the orchestra Bartolomey appeared as a soloist on his instrument in appearance and played with well-known orchestras, the great cello concerts in literature.
In addition, Bartolomey was cellist of the Küchl Quartet and Viennese virtuoso and performed with these ensembles at home and abroad. In 1997 he became a member of the Vienna Hofmusikkapelle. He looks back on a rich teaching experience in masterclasses, especially in Japan.
