About

Ekodance International Project was born spontaneously in 2012 as an experimental project aimed at creating a high-level training course in the dance sector and aimed at young dancers selected in training courses active in the various schools and Academies both on the national territory, is international. The peculiarity of the project, compared to existing similar experiences, lies in the choice of the disciplines addressed, in the teachers and choreographers who will collaborate with the association; the synergy of these elements will allow us to propose a work of high artistic and technical level.

EkoDance is a point of reference in the training of professional dancers, a place where emerging choreographers can experiment with their languages, a center where company directors can find young talents to be included within their workforce. To date, 20 dancers have come out of the Eko Dance line-up and managed to find a place and are working in companies both in the United States and in Europe.

Eko dance international project, directed by Pompea Santoro, was born in 2012 and is aimed at young people who, after completing their academic training in training courses active in the Turin area and beyond, want to perfect themselves both from a technical and artistic point of view in order to make their transition to the professional world easier.
The peculiarity of the project, with respect to similar experiences already existing, lies in the choice of the disciplines addressed, of the teachers and choreographers who will collaborate with the Academy; the synergy of these elements will allow us to propose a work with a high artistic level.
The teaching includes a five-hour daily study in which the students, starting from a precise study of the classical technique, will face the repertoire of Mats Ek in addition to that of other internationally renowned choreographers and young emerging choreographers.

The heart of the professional course is the preparation of shows to disseminate and promote the dance bringing it to provincial theaters and schools.
Ekodance international Project therefore turns to the territory both in terms of training and information; a center where not only young dancers can learn and study the choreographies that have made and still make the history of dance, but also an attempt to bring the boys closer to the theater and to the Muse Tersicore by showing them the dance world explained with selected excerpts ad hoc from the repertoire and the most usable for a young audience.
