Claudio Proietti was born in Rome and lives in Pisa. His professional activity, always centered on music, is developed in various sectors. In the concert world he has devoted himself mostly to the modern and contemporary repertoire.

Born in SS in 1959 he graduated in Piano with full marks and honors from the “A. Casella "of the Aquila in 1981 under the guide of the M ° Claudio Proietti.

Since 1983 he has been Professor of Piano at the Conservatory of Sassari of which he was Director from the year 2000 to the year 2005.

He specialized with Luciano Cerroni, Piero Guarino, Bruno Mezzena for the piano and with Filippo Olivieri, Bruno Giuranna, P. Guarino and K. Leister for Chamber Music. In his intense artistic activity he has held over 700 concerts as pianist, harpsichordist and organist in various chamber and choir ensembles and as a soloist at the piano in various European countries, Mexico and Argentina.

Specialized in the practice of Accompaniment and Chamber Music, he worked for eight years with the Instrumental Academy of Wind instruments, since 1987 he founded the "Trio Mistral" and has collaborated since 1992 with the "G. Rossini ". He has played with prestigious groups such as the "Benthien Quartett" of Hamburg and the "Klaring Quartett" of Vienna.

Awarded in national and international competitions he is frequently invited to major festivals and exhibitions. He has held specialization courses in piano and chamber music in Mexico.

He graduated in 1996 in Disciplines of Music, Arts and Performing Arts at the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy of the University of Bologna with a thesis on the Civic Theater and musical life in Sassari from the late 18th century to the early 1900s.

He has been a jury member of national and international competitions and has recorded important recordings and live recordings made in Italy for RAI, Germany and Mexico.

He currently directs the Scuola Civica of Tempio Pausania and has been the artistic director of the "Amici del Conservatorio" Cultural Association of Sardinia Philharmonic Orchestra for ten years, which promotes popular musical activities in the area.

Under his direction, the Conservatory of Sassari opened up to a continuous comparison at national and foreign level. Thanks to the institution of international exchanges of the Erasmus project, collaboration with other Conservatories, with the Academy of Fine Arts and the University. As regards the Educational Offer, the new First Level Three-Year Courses and the Second Level Biennial Courses have been established, some of which are innovative, such as the Three-Year Ethnomusicology, Music and New Technologies and Jazz.
