Mohács is located in southern Hungary, a small town on the Danube river.
Mohács was the setting of two important battles against the Turks of the Ottoman Empire. While the Hungarians suffered defeat in the first battle, the second one proved victorious and marked the end of Ottoman control in Hungary.
