After obtaining a DEA in management science at the faculty of Strasbourg 1, Christian-Rodrigue Moungoungou began a musical training in Alsace and then in Lyon and obtained his singing prize at CNSMD Lyon in June 2005. He took part in many festivals such as that of Aix-en-Provence in 2002 or those of Salzburg and Schleswig-Holstein in 2004.
At the opera, he sings Aeneas in Purcell's Didon and Aeneas in Lyon in 2002, Goro in Puccini's Madame Butterfly at the Gattières Festival in July 2003, Orêt in Philémon and Baucis de Haydn at the Opéra de Lyon in April 2004, Dandini in La Cenerentola at the Ile-de-France Festival and on tour (2005 to 2007), Burschen in Carl Orff's Der Mond at the Opéra Bastille Amphitheater in 2007 and 2010 and the Goat in a show around Stravinsky's fox; he also played the roles of Escamillo de Carmen and Valentin de Faust.
In chamber music, he is at the origin of the creation in 2009 of the Grazioso ensemble, with which he performs notably at the Studio Bastille. At the concert, his solo repertoire extends to the oratorio with various Bach cantatas, Mozart's Requiem and Fauré as well as many masses. Since September 2005, he has been a full-time choir artist at the Opéra national de Paris, performing solo roles, including Richard Strauss's Le Chevalier à la rose and Capriccio, Halévy's Jew, Don Carlo de Verdi , Mireille of Gounod, Billy Budd of Britten.
