Boris Stetka - Born in Fiume, he graduated in directing from the Piccolo Teatro School in Milan and at the Teatro alla Scala. He made his directorial debut in 1977 with Frank Wedekind's Risveglio di primavera. In 1978 he is a collaborator and production delegate for the Teatro alla Scala in the Story of a Soldier by Dario Fo.

Since then he collaborates with countless Italian and foreign opera houses, including: Opéra de Paris, Staatsoper of Berlin, Real de Madrid, Staatsoper of Vienna, Châtelet of Paris, Covent Garden of London, Lyric Center of Chicago, Maestranza of Seville, Bunka Kaikan of Tokyo , Hyogo Festival, Seoul Arts Center, Municipal of São Paulo in Brazil. Among others, he staged works by Monteverdi, Donizetti, Verdi, Puccini, Wagner, Stravinskj. He collaborated with directors such as: Jorge Lavelli, Luca Ronconi, Virginio Puecher, Gianfranco De Bosio, Yuri Ljubimov, Jonathan Miller. Since 1996 he is director collaborator of Daniele Abbado. The interests of Boris Stetka varied: he held cooking classes in the USA and, in 1994, he created and managed, in Borrego Springs (California), a restaurant of traditional Italian cuisine, judged by the "New York Times" as one of the best in the Southern California. He published a long article in the journal Diario on the presence of angels in California and wrote plays on aspects of Christian mysticism, such as: "Angels!" (Mittelfest 2001), "No Food" (Livorno 2004), "Ken Saro Wiwa writer and martyr ”(Reggio Emilia 2008). He published on Amazon.it the collection of short stories "After the shit" (2015) and the novel "Journey to hell, one way" (2016).
