Ben Daniel Jöhnk, born in Hamburg, completed his acting education at the College of Music and Theater in his hometown.
Between 1993 and 2001 followed engagements in Marburg, Saarbrücken and Lucerne. From 2001 to 2005 he was an ensemble member at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg and from 2013 to 2017 at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden. He guested u. a. at the Schauspiel Frankfurt, at the Thalia Theater Hamburg, at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf and at the Freiburg Theater. He has worked with directors such as René Pollesch, Sandra Strunz, Helena Waldmann, Jürgen Gosch, Jan Bosse, Jérôme Bel, Roger Vontobel and Tilmann Köhler. In addition, he is regularly on camera for film and television and is a lecturer in drama at the Academy of Music and Theater in Rostock.
