Tomsk Memorial Museum of the History of Political Repressions Tickets & Tours

The Tomsk Memorial Museum of the History of Political Repressions "Investigative Prison of the NKVD" is the first museum of this kind in Russia. Located in the basement of the building, which from 1923 to 1944 was the inner prison of the Tomsk city department of the OGPU-NKVD. The territory adjacent to the building served as the inner courtyard of the prison, where Memory Square is currently located. In 1992−2011. a monument to the victims of the Bolshevik terror and a number of memorial signs to the repressed peoples were erected here.
