Catherine Palace Tickets & Tours

The Catherine Palace is a Rococo palace in Tsarskoye Selo, 30 km south of St. Petersburg. It was the summer residence of the Russian tsars. The building was founded in 1717 by order of the Russian Empress Catherine I, after whom it is named; during the 18th century it was rebuilt several times and in its present form it is an example of the late baroque. In Soviet times, a museum was opened in the palace.
