UFPR Museum of Archeology and Ethnology Tickets & Tours

The Museum of Archeology and Ethnology at UFPR (MAE), opened in 1963 and is the first university museum in the State of Paraná. Its main headquarters are located in the municipality of Paranaguá, in the premises of the building that housed the former Colégio dos Jesuítas, founded in 1755. The museum's collection consists of artifacts collected in archaeological and ethnographic research, mainly from Paraná, hence its great importance for understanding the history of the state. It currently has a collection of approximately 70,000 pieces, divided into four large collections: Archeology, Popular Culture, Ethnology and Sound, Visual and Textual Documentation.
