New Town Hall Tickets & Tours

The New Town Hall is a town hall at the northern part of Marienplatz in Munich. The 85 m high town hall tower is equipped with an elevator and is open to tourists. This structure is crowned with the figure of the "Munich baby" on the spire of the tower, who holds the Gospel in his left hand, and blesses the city with his right. On the central tower of the town hall there is a chime clock playing a 15-minute performance. Every day at 11 o'clock, 43 town hall bells begin to ring, windows open, and 32 human-sized figures begin to act out scenes from city life that took place on Marienplatz.
