La casa de la Palma Tickets & Tours
La casa de la Palma is an old sugar factory. At present the building, acquired by the City Council, has become the center for Motril Culture, being protected by the City Council and identified by the Granada Provincial Council. The building is developed on a 16th-century mill. It is presented as a stately building in the outskirts of the city, structurally it has a “U” shape with different bodies attached to its rear, serving as annexes to the base nucleus, which is the main facade bay. Inside, there is a small Mudejar coffered ceiling very well worked and some footings of the same style. Also noteworthy inside is a garden with plant species and trees brought from America and acclimatized here more than a hundred years ago.
