The Prague-born soprano Zuzana Marková gave her Opera debut at the age of 16 years as Frantiska in Burian's "Opera z Pouti" at the Moravian-Silesian national theatre in Ostrava, Czech Republic. As a winner of various singing competitions, she represented the Czech Republic as a conductor at EXPO in Japan in 2005. She sang in "I puritani" at the Zurich Opera house and the Frankfurt Opera, in "La traviata" at the Teatro Massimo di Palermo and the Opera di Firenze, in "Il cappello di paglia di Firenze" at the Teatro San Carlo and in "Manon" at the Cologne Opera. Other highlights include the title role of Anna Bolena in the opera of the same name at the Opéra municipal de Marseille, Marianne in " Les caprices de Marianne "at the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux, Lucia in" Lucia the Lammermoor "at the Opéra d'avignon and at the Teatro delle Muse in Ancona, and Violetta Valéry in" La traviata " at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari. Further Engagements brought her to the Bolshoi theatre, Opéra de Reims, the Opéra-Théâtre de Metz Métropole, the Festival della Valle d'itria, the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Theater Lübeck, and the Wexford Festival Opera. Here the singer took on roles such as Ismene in "Alceste", Oscar in" Un ballo in maschera", Elisabeth Zimmer in" Elegie für junge Liebende", Donna Anna in" Don Giovanni", Susanna in" Le nozze di Figaro "and Micaëla in"Carmen".
