Tuuli Takala was born in Finland and studied at the Sibelius-Academy in Helsinki and at the University of applied Sciences Helsinki Metropolia. The soprano is a prizewinner of several competitions and has won the 1st prize at the Timo Mustakallio singing competition and the Kangasniemi singing competition in Finland. In addition, she was finalist and winner of the Arnold Schönberg Center special prize at the 8th International Hilde Zadek singing competition in Vienna and finalist and Special Prize winner at The Hans Gabor Belvedere singing competition in Amsterdam in 2015.

Tuuli Takala made her opera debut in 2013 as Queen of the night ("the Magic Flute") at the Finnish National Opera in Helsinki. Since then she has performed this role at the Semperoper Dresden, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Komische Oper Berlin, after Essen, Klagenfurt and the Opera Festival Savonlinna in Finland. 
 

Other important performances were Susanna ("Le nozze di Figaro") at the Finnish National Opera in Helsinki, Zerlina ("Don Giovanni") at the Opera Festival in Savonlinna, Gilda ("Rigoletto") in Dresden and Savonlinna, and currently Olympia ("Les Contes d'hoffmann"), Waldvogel ("Siegfried") and Blonde ("die Entführung aus dem Serail") at the Semperoper Dresden. From 2015 to 2017 Tuuli Takala was a member of the young Ensemble; since 2017/18 she has been a permanent ensemble member of the Semperoper.

Tuuli Takala is also active as a song interpreter and in the concert area. So she sang for example. Bach's "Christmas oratorio", the "St. John Passion" and mass in b minor, Handel's "Messiah", Mozart's Requiem, or Brahms' "A German Requiem" in London, Vienna and Tokyo.
